Thanks to our generous donors, the Carpinteria Cultural Foundation (CCF) achieved major achievements for the Carpinteria community in 2023.  At the beginning of the year, the short film "Voces de Old Town" directed by filmmaker Brent Winebrenner, was produced by Leslie Westbrook and Suzanne Requejo. It premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in March.  The CCF then commissioned Mary Beth Hanrahan from Ventura's Belle Arts Studio to create a mural at the Aliso Elementary School depicting the school's history from 1892 to the present. Working in partnership with Superintendent Diana Rigby of the Carpinteria Unified School District and its Board of Trustees, the mural was publically dedicated on September 12th.

For 2024, the CCF will continue celebrating Carpinteria diversity.  Themes will be carefully selected and researched for additional murals. More films of past heroes will be made.  Free lectures will be presented at the Carpinteria Community Library for the public, and for civic group meetings.  Articles of Carpinteria history will be written for the community newspapers, i.e., the Coastal View News and Montecito Journal.  Educational materials about Carpinteria's diverse history will be produced and provided for free.

YOU can help keep the Carpinteria Cultural Foundation's momentum going by sending a donation, any amount, big or small. We are a nonprofit 501 C3 charitable trust that makes your donation tax deductible. It is YOUR support that makes a difference in fulfilling our mission of bringing and keeping the Carpinteria community together.
